1. Blackjack
Hone your Blackjack skills by enabling the Beat the Dealer skill. To open it, simply say “Alexa, open The Dealer.” Alexa will “deal” your cards and read your cards out loud along with one of the dealer’s cards. She will then ask you if you would like to hit or stand. Simply speak your answer until you beat the dealer or go bust. Go enough rounds, and you’ll be a high roller in no time.
2. Song Quiz
Are you a music buff? Do you consider yourself to be the human Shazam? Can you correctly guess the title and artist of a song just by hearing it? With the Song Quiz skill, Alexa will put your music trivia knowledge to the test by playing you songs stretching all the way back to the 60s. In addition, Song Quiz adds new songs often, keeping things fresh through repeated plays.
3. Earplay
Earplay puts you in the role of a secret agent in a choose-your-own-adventure style game. The story unfolds as an old school radio drama where your choices and responses dictate the twists and turns of the plot. Be aware that Earplay is not suitable for all ages, so make sure the kids are tucked away in bed before you start your adventure.
4. The Wayne Investigation
Anyone with a passing interest in pop culture knows that the murder of Bruce Wayne’s parents is the reason why he becomes the vigilante superhero known as Batman. In The Wayne Investigation you assume the role of a Gotham City investigator who is trying to find out who is responsible for the murder. You’ll have to navigate Gotham’s seedy underworld and various dead ends to solve the crime. Be aware that this game deals with some mature themes, so parental discretion is advised.
5. The Magic Door
If you’re looking for a more family friendly adventure, look no further than The Magic Door. In this game players explore a magical world with various regions. In addition, players will find hidden items and solve riddles in order to help magical creatures. There are eleven adventures waiting for players in the land beyond the Magic Door.
6. Millionaire Quiz Game
Alexa takes over for Regis Philbin in Millionaire Quiz Game, modelled after the popular quiz game Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Alexa will ask you fourteen questions, each one harder than the last. For each correct answer you’ll be awarded increasingly larger sums of (imaginary) cash. However, if you get into trouble, you can use up to three lifelines. 50/50 will remove two of the wrong answers leaving you with only two possible answers. You can ask the question on social media and find out what others think the answer is. In addition, you can also phone one of your friends and have them help you answer the question. Millionaire Quiz Game has over 2500 questions and every week adds to the replayability.
7. Where in the World
Do you fancy yourself as a geography buff? Put your knowledge to the test with WhereInTheWorld. Alexa will pick a country at random. She will then rattle off clues like capital city and what language is spoken in that country. Speak your answers to see if you’re a geography whiz.
8. Escape the Room
Escape Rooms have become increasingly popular over the years. If you’re not familiar with them, the idea is simple. A bunch of people are locked in a room and they have to solve a series of riddles and puzzles within a certain time in order to “escape the room.” If escape rooms are your thing, or it sounds like something you might want to try, check out Escape the Room. There are four different rooms of varying difficulty to choose from.
